Rig Rundown

A public-facing page that shows your whole board - every device, organized by type, with MIDI info and preset counts.

What Is It?

The Rig Rundown is a shareable, public web page that RigWork generates from your device roster and profile. Anyone can view it - no Rig account required. It's designed to answer the question gear enthusiasts always ask: "what's on your board?"

Setting Up Your Profile

Go to the Rig Rundown tab (the link icon in the sidebar). Fill in:

Rig name - e.g. "Heath's Doom Rig", "Main Live Rig 2024"
Artist / Band - your name or project name
Notes - signal chain description, philosophy, anything you want viewers to know

Click Save. The preview below updates immediately to show how the published page will look.

Publishing

You need to be signed in to publish a Rig Rundown. Once signed in, the publish section appears with a URL input and a Publish button.

Choosing a slug

The slug is the last part of your Rundown URL: rigwork.gpdoom.com/rundown.html?slug=your-slug. Pick something readable - your name, your band name, your rig name. Only lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens.

Publishing / updating

Click Publish to push your current device roster and profile to the public URL. You can republish anytime - each publish overwrites the previous version. Your Rundown always reflects your current roster.

QR code

Once published, a QR code appears below the URL. Scan it with a phone to open the Rundown page instantly — no typing. Handy for sharing your rig with someone standing next to you at soundcheck, or for pointing a camera at the screen to save the link.

Publishing is public. The URL is not secret. Anyone who has it can view your Rundown page, including your device list, MIDI channels, and notes.

What the Rundown Page Shows

The public Rundown page displays:

Artist/band name and rig name at the top
Your rig notes (if any)
Stats: device count, MIDI-capable count, preset count
All public devices (private devices are excluded)
Per device: name, kind, MIDI channel, PC range, notes
Board layout SVG (the visual signal chain)
Last updated date

Devices marked Private in Gear edit are excluded. Set a device private if it's a backup unit, a test device, or otherwise not meant for the public rundown.

Print Options

Print Sheet (compact)

Click Print Sheet in the Rig Rundown tab for a compact two-page cheat sheet:

Preset list — name, color, PC assignments
Setlist — songs with assigned scenes or presets, per-section breakdown
Signal chain (connections/cables)
Board layout SVG

Designed to fit on one or two A4/Letter pages. Good for leaving on a music stand or taping to a pedalboard.

Show Bible (comprehensive)

Click Show Bible in the Setlist tab header for the full show document:

Gear list by pedalboard — MIDI channels, bypass CC, chain notes
Full MIDI CC map
All scenes with trigger PCs and device picks
Signal chain
Per-song rig setup notes, per-section scenes, BPM

The Show Bible is the document you hand to a tech, FOH engineer, or fill-in player. It covers everything, not just the preset list.

Print the Show Bible before tour. Print the Print Sheet before each night's show if the set order changes. Having paper backup means you're not stuck if a phone dies mid-set.

Export & Import

The ↓ Export Rig button downloads your complete Rig data as a .rig.json file - devices, presets, setlists, and profile. This is your backup.

↑ Import Rig restores from a .rig.json file. Importing overwrites your current data, so export first if you want to preserve the current state.
